Pet Rock Becomes Million Dollar Idea

Gary Dahl who was an advertising executive launched a campaign for Pet Rocks.  He mass marketed this idea and soon the trend spread.  The pet rock came in a little box with holes for the rock to breath.  It also came with a kit on how to take care of this rock. In 6 months this man became a multi-millionaire off the trend of owning a pet rock.  The whole kit was around $4 and sold millions in the first few months.  Although the trend dropped quick after about 6 months, he still was set for life off pet rocks.  Have you ever thought of owning a pet rock?
